Impressions from my 7 hour car ride
In order to get my break in period over with as quickly as possible, as well as to enjoy some nice hilly twisties, I did a 7 hour drive today. Here are my thoughts.
The vibration of the gear shift lever is actually milder than any manual that I have driven before, so I don't get the complaints there.
The bose sounds pretty good with CD's, and the auto adjusting volume seems to be more tied in with radio listening than CD's. The radio sound is still disappointing.
The radar detector definately paid for itself again today. Too bad you have to hang the wire back to between the seats. Hopefully it can be wired in at some point.
I was hoping not to get the buzzing rattle from the passenger side vanity mirror, but at about 500 miles mine started doing that also.
The digital speedometer always read 2 mph slower than the needle speedometer.
The nav system is great to have when you are just out finding the twistiest roads you can, then finding your way back to the highway. Only problems I had with it was that I was on a road and it was mapping it and showing me the name of the road on the bottom of the screen(OH-374). When I tried to do the intersection function with this road, it claimed this road was not in the data base? It would stop me and show OH-37 as the only road that matched. Another time I tried to get back to the interstate and it put me on a one lane crappy road. Since it was the only route I gave it a try, one mile later it turned into a gravel road.........yikes! Turned around and went the way I came.
Handling is like a ginsu knife, this baby carves the curves, you will all love it.
