Basic or ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer?!

Default Basic or ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer?!

So i'm going to buy a plenum spacer like NOW and I need to know if the ISO thermal spacer is that much better or if the price is just higher because of a few added no-big-deal parts...someone knowledgeable please fill me in! Info on the spacers is here:

Keep in mind I do live in WA..so is the CCV that important? LMK please!

get the iso thermal 5/16. Don't get the 1/2 unless you don't like your strut bar and engine cover (if I remember right)

also, what year is your car? If you have the rev-up motor, I would definately recommend the MREV2

go with the iso thermal so you don't have to deal with the coolant valve and the changing weather in WA

I have an 03. So the ISO thermal 5/16 is the way to go? I believe those come with the CCV...the copper one is the only one that is "premium"..but if I don't have to change anything right now regarding the outside temperature..why would I have to when I get the plenum?

The basic spacer comes with a valve that bypasses the coolant that flows through the throttle body to prevent it from heating up the plenum, but in the winter this can lead to a frozen throttle body, so you have to turn the valve back on in the winter. The premium isothermal kit comes with a isothermal gasket that goes between the throttle body and plenum to prevent the heat soak so the coolant bypass is no longer necessary.

i don't drive my car in the winter, should i just get the iso, i mean i just start it once and a while will it be fine to leave it bypassed to just start it every once in a while

it does have a valve that you have to cut into one of your lines to install that you can turn on or off. I didn't put it on though.
