Default Kinetix SSV "Velocity" Intake Manifold

Is there any final word on this product? I don't want opinionated junk replies. I want to hear from people who actually bought this piece and what they think of it. I've read the previous threads on this but none of them say anything valid about the real hard facts. LMK I want to get this or the motordyne spacer asap. thanks guys.

Unless you are FI, or going to be, don't waste your money. I know some NA who lost power with the first version of SSV And 30 HP out of an intake ain't gonna happen regardless. Stick with the spacer unless you are looking to dress up the engine bay - it IS a nice looking piece.

spend a little more for the cosworth, it actually makes power especially if you are F/I.

if you have actually looked at the dyno graphs of the product it was tested against a compleatly stock 350z same day testing the stock one had a little more humidity in the air but the kinetix had a hotter ambiant air tempature and it shows both A/F ratio curves and the only difrence on the A/F is the kinetix is a tinnnnnnyyyy bit leaner threw out the intire power curve.
so obviously no tunning was done to either the kinetix or stock.

but the problem with the stock manifold on there dyno was after 6400 rpms it started to loose power (due to flow issue's it would seem correct me if im wronge)
stock dyno it maxed out at 230whp at 6300rpms but at 6900 it had 202whp

with the kinetix it has relitivly the exact same power curve no major gains over stock it has about 18 more hp at 6400 and instead of the power tapering off after that it stays relitvly the same with some small gain still 7000 rpms
kinetix dyno maxed out at 245hp at 6600 to 6900rpms(so flat of a power curve its hard to tell)

so what kinetix did is take the reading from both cars at 6900 rpms and get the diffrince from there.

when in all reality its really only a 15 or less hp gain.

Installed on 2006 Z coup and it not only looks fine, but there is a good kick of power above 55 mph. Also makes engine sound purr w, K&N typhoon intake and TD Borlas. Air flow is smoother and the Z already has good power. Get custom cover and make engine bay a color set with dazzle.

Tried it. One of our employees tried it on his G35. The car had a plenum spacer on it before. You have to make sure the plenum is bolted down correctly. Here is what we got out of it. This is with in a 1hr time span.

This morning I asked how it felt and he said that it feel like a tuned car. Tuned meaning that the power delivery felt smoother to him.

No one paid us or gave us a deal to test this product (wish we could get a freebie). So since nobody else would do it we did.

im guessing the red is from after the plenum because it is run #7 and the other is #3?

That is a lot smoother and more gains than I expected to see. I would love to see a comparison between the Kenetix and Cosworth like this. IMO the Kinetix is the better looking of the two though.

it definitely is cooler and lighter then stock manifold...its made of stainless steel which stays cooler...i recommend it...i now have vortech and it looks great with it also...if you get a good deal on one id pick it up...i wouldnt pay retail though....spend the money on some hfc's or other mods...but under $500 its a great addition.

I had the Kinetix and it is a great piece and has a nice sound in high rpms. I made 257whp with the manifold. Now im rocken the polished cosworth.
