is it true that you have to take out the entire rear bumper in order to get this item installed??

yes, you have to either remove the bumper, or at least loosen the one side of it, and pry it back enough (OEM or poly only) to be able to gain access...

Just wanted to say thanks Tony! I got the lights Thursday, installed them Friday and washed it Saturday. Pulling the rear bumper isn't bad and then you just swap the clips and wires from each light. I would say the level of difficulty is a medium. Looks great though, thanks T!

The post says it's one sided only. Why do i keep seeing people refer to their "set"?
Does it come with wiring and switch for the cabin?

yes, it is only one side, since that's how it is overseas... you need one backup light in white/clear...
people are using the term set generically.
as stated in the OP no wiring or switch, you have to wire this up on your own, and there are tons of ways this can be done...
