Default 1972 Datsun 240z

The time has come to sell my baby... I hate to do it, but I can't go on with the project at the moment as I don't have much room to work on it...

It's a 1972 Datsun 240z with a Ford 302(5.0L) and AOD swap done to it... No, the swap is NOT for everyone, but it suited me well... The car has 16" Epsilon mesh wheels(staggered 16x9 +0 front and 16x10 +0 rear)

Car also has roll bars(pictured)

The bad: the recent motor that was in the car had blown, so it needs a new 5.0... It will drop right in as the swap has already been done...

I'm asking $2500 with the wheels or $1500 without the wheels, but I'm open to trades...

Trade for running cars: Toyota MR-2(non turbo ok), 94+ Honda Accord Wagon, 96+ Honda Civic Hatch, Nissan 300zx(z32 non turbo ok) or any 97+ Honda

Trade for wheels: 18" or 19" Agressive Japanese wheels

Call, Text, or PM Chris 619-587-8773... Thank You!

More pics tmorrow

@konrad, the body is straight, I can't say that its a "rust-free" s30 because that would be a lie, all s30's have rust, some more than others... But they do have their typical areas which would be in the floor boards, battery tray, hatch area, lower front fenders, etc. I havent noticed any other than the lower front fenders... My plan was to tear it down and do any body repairs before paint(I do auto body and paint for a living)...

@Hugo, Im going to post more pics tonite including the interior... It's pretty much complete, and the seats are pretty sweet considering the car is 40 years old!

Looking at the pics of the flares on the rear 1/4's, I hope you didn't do them or it's a really bad pic. Looks like tons of bondo!

An important distinction. This car is NOT smog exempt. It is exempt form biannual smog checks. It must still any smog equipment and conform to any smog regulations applicable at the time of it's manufacture. Regarding the engine swap, it must be from a newer vehicle, the engine cannot be from a heavy duty model, and you must have all of the emissions equipment from the donor vehicle. The swap needs to pass a visual inspection and smog test to be legal.

Because you are exempt from bi-annual smog checks, that makes it easier to ignore these laws. But, keep in mind, there are certain circumstances were you could still get into trouble. Just an FYI/PSA...

OK guys I finally got around to posting pics of the interior...

$2500 with the wheels and $1500 without the wheels...

Still looking for a car in the above criteria or a set of aggressive 2 or 3 piece Japanese wheels in 18" or 19"... Thanks!
