I was going to replace my OEM splash guard, but after looking into the Z Speed aluminum guard I opted for that. Check it out

TollBoothWillie makes replicas of what lunchbox posted. Cheaper but works the same.

Hey! I have a 35th Anniversary 350z. The splash guard tore off (under engine area). Do I really need to replace it? What’s the purpose of this guard anyway?

The lower engine guard helps with the aerodynamics, protects the bottom of the engine from debris, as well as provides structural support for the bottom of the bumper.
I took mine off awhile back thinking it would be best, but the Z actually does need this piece.
I replaced mine with the Z Speed aluminum guard as it was cheaper than the OEM plastic one, and said to last longer, as well as stiffening up the lower part of the bumper.
