Hey everyone. I'll be going, too!!

I'm driving up from Hattiesburg, MS. It's about a 3 1/2 drive for me to Memphis. Also, kramykram is coming up from Biloxi (an additional hour for him) and we'll be convoying.

I'm trying to round up a few more folks from MS, but so far it's me and kramykram for sure.

If it's an inconvenience then don't sweat it, but would 11:00 a.m. be too late to meet up? I only ask so that me and kk (and any other south MS people that might want to come) don't have to get up at zerodarkthirty to make it in time. Not that it's a big deal for me - I'm up at 5:30 everyday for work anyway, but I'm not sure about kk.

 

Well...I and I'm sure everyone else would like for you to ride along. Myself, I have plans in Knoxville that evening. So I really need to be heading that way by 10ish. Don't forget that we'll be crossing a timeline. Plus everyone had mentioned stopping for lunch. That is going to loose us two hours right off the bat. If the consensus is that everyone else wants to wait for you guys that is fine, I'll just have to head on.

Well we can meet twice, those from AR/Memphis can meet up earlier along I-40 and then meet up with middle TN folks around exit 80ish for lunch.

BTW, is that cooling trick bypassing the heater core? I think the shop said the head gasket was blown or blowing by on boost. Really made a mess of my trip in VA. Hopefully I'll have it by ZAttack6 in Nashville April 13/14 (driving back from the VA side). My 3 gauge A pillar pod was stolen along with my UOGO apparantly along with my Momo Titanium shifter. As long as I have reliable power, all that can be replaced in time. Need to get it back in time for my suspension/brake upgrade before the big event.

I would love to join in on this drive. I'm in El Dorado and i've already blocked out thurs, fri, mon, and tue of that weekend. Where exactly are you guys planning on meeting and are you still planning on leaving around 10?

 

we will be leaving the little rock area hopefully by 7-7:30 so we can meet up w/the group in memphis around 9:30 or 10:00, jasong you can pm me your cell number and we can try to figure out where you can join up w/us at

agreed. I think everyone in this area will meet up at the galloway exit pilot gas station. we hope to be on the road to memphis by 7am so we would get there 9-930?? i would like to get a cell number to a few of you that will be meeting us in memphis, that way if something happens while on the road? we can give everyone a heads up. As far as where we're meeting the guys in memphis for sure???someone in that area will need to post on a good definite location.

 

Is this the spot??? I have no clue about the area so please somewhere right off the freeway for us would be nice

Also, guys I will have all of the "appropriate electronics". Anyone with FRS radios please bring them, I will have one extra. If anyone has a CB they can bring to monitor that would be good.

I figure taking Nashville then down 24 and cutting I75 to 18, otherwise we go to Knoxville on I40 and that will be an extra 90 miles and less mountains

 

Well, I'm not sure...it has been so long since I started this thread, but I think I am really the only one from Memphis. The Waffle House at exit 20 on I-40 is where I'll be waiting for you guys. Alan, you have my cell via PM from a few months ago. Let me know if you need it again.
