Default What to see/eat in NO-French Quarter?

I have a school funded trip to New Orleans in April, and my hotel is in the French Quarter. What restaurants would you suggest that aren't sky high [around $15 a meal is good], shops to check out, ect. within that area?

NOLA - great lunch spot and reasonably priced.
Cafe Du Monde - beignettes and coffee for bfast is a must.
Both are located in the quarter, with the cafe immediately
adjacent to the market near the river.

These are extremely safe bets and meet your cost needs.
Enjoy.

Invazn is right, but my first two suggestions have good po-boys, or better known as poor boys.
