I need help. Trying to wrap my head around just why it is superior nissan of Conway will NOT certify this 2008 HR that has 58k miles on it. http://www.superiornissan.com/VehicleDetails/637692473
It is below Nissan Motors Co 60k required standard.
It has clean car fax.
1 owner. Hghwy miles mostly.
And they won't budge on the price. They won't certify it either.
I'm finding certified used 2008's (And I only want a 2008) automatics w/ LESS miles & same condition & options for cheaper in Texas and OK.
Will they not move on the price cause it's only been on there lot since 2/28/10? Should I wait 60 days for the internet manager to change the price?
Not to mention they don't care that I can find these cheaper in another state. I was hoping to get this 1 linked above for $18,500 considering how many miles it has. Especially when I'm finding ones in Texas, certified, 1 owner car fax, clean car fax, same options, and way way way less miles. Mileage average around 9k-16k. This one above has 58k miles.
I just don't understand it.
I think some of you all remember me from having a 2006 White GT... Auto of course.
Only guys names I remember are Adams & Davids. Sorry bad memory. Hope you're all doin well though..
Adam how are those blacked out tails and 06+headlights, & homelink mirror working for ya?

I'm wondering how many more clues you might need to suggest that this car isn't for you.
Let it go. Probably has had or needs a new engine due to oil consumption. I would say it was bought back by Nissan, which is why they wont certify it, but I thought that had be be disclosed. Not sure, probably not in AR. If you could get the VIN, I *might* be able to pull some strings and get the service history. But I dont want to call in any favors from my Nissan dealer friends when something is so obviously a bad deal. If you *really* want to keep pushing this 'deal', PM me the VIN and I'll see what's lurking in the Nissan database. It could be something as simple as some mods that voided the warranty, like some dealer that was being an *** about lowering springs or test pipes. It happens. but I'm putting my money on oil consumption/buy back.

Thanks T!

I have the same DE (non oil burning) Z, J doesnt your girl have her own ride? If she cant drive a standard that's even a better reason to get one... Ask Steve
I'm sure he can attest how much more he likes his standard over the auto.....

The ONLY reason I got an auto is that in May of 03, the tranny was rev 1. It took to what? like Rev 6 to work out the issues? I already knew of people having trouble (Z and G's) and there was no TSB yet. The deal I got was 4k in my favor. So I snapped up the one G available that month.. but damn I regret the auto. And I think its starting to slip. So, my worries of dealing with clutch repairs will be a wash if I need to replace this auto trans. Dude, just get a MT and deal with it. seriously.. Now, maybe with rev matching its not as bad a mine (without it)... but still.. I rarely hear of anyone that is sorry they bought a MT.

I will say this AT > MT when comparing 1/4 times. But then again I don't believe any of you are stock... Thus your MT > then my next stock AT LOL
That's the only thing good, that I know of for AT. I agree, all should know how to drive a stick. Including women.

Actually, I don't miss a MT at all just going straight. I can control the shift points then... but I miss an MT in the turns. This is greatly improved with rev match, but still MT owns when trying to negotiate twisties. Adam rarely uses his brakes. After the Cherohala Skyway (the Dragon) my brakes were almost smoking, yet you could still touch Adam's calipers with your finger. Anyway, I think it's just easier to set up a turn and be were you want to be in the power band when you exit. I can still enjoy the AT, but MT is so more engaging and fun.
Should I really stay away from a vehicle that was once a rental?
I've heard that rentals have been driven like they were stolen when they get rented but is that necessarily a bad thing? I've always assumed that a vehicle needs to be revved high to clear carbons, ect...
I realize it probably has alot of city driving too. But my goodness this automatic 2008 350 GT is a great price. And it's got everything I'm looking for as far as options.
It was a rental in Phoenix, AZ. So obviously it hasn't seen salty roads nor salty winds from a coastal region. It was sold at an auction where in this Texarkana dealership snatched it up.
They're asking $22,700 for it. I spoke w/ internet sales guy whom is suppose to be sending me pics shortly. He advised it's in process of getting certified as well.
