I try to use a big aperture prime before pulling out the flash (which I tend to bounce anyway). Have you considered a 50mm f/1.8 II ? f/1.8 will really open up your low light capability. Plus, you get awesome bokeh that just cant be had any other way.
plus, I think you said you had a T1i right, the nifty fifty is amazing in video because you get that bokeh in your vid and it just looks, well... money.. when its really only $75

^^^T2i sir, where did you find it for $75? Im getting results ~130. Is it mostly for closer objects?

oh.. cool. I'm also using a T2i too, but it's gripped so it looks and feels ginormous. I'd remove it but i like the double batteries. and the 17-55 is huge and heavy, the grip balances it alittle.
It's always on sale somewhere.

I have one that I never use since I got the Sig30. You could borrow it. Although I doubt you could go wrong picking one up. They just arent built to take any abuse at all. but I've had mine for several years and never had an issue with it.
50mm on a crop body is alittle long actually. it's going to be 80mm equiv. which makes awesome portrait pics if you can step back 8ft or so. It narrows the field of view and makes much more flattering pics of people. Not to mention how sharp primes can be. I got the 30mm because I wanted a 'normal' lens (roughly equiv to the field of view of the human eye) The 30 is almost 50mm on a crop body.

I shot this with a XSi, 50mm 1.8, handheld, no flash, at dusk

IDK if my friend is going to have a party tomorrow, she turns 21 tomorrow but I havent heard anything...So if nothing goes down (or im not invited lol) Id be down for a lil get together?
Im having 2nd thoughts about wanting to wrap my interior in di-noc, I kinda just want to get the arm rest and the lil silver pieces re-sprayed. I figured if I do wrap my interior, then Ill want to re-do other things to, and I dont want to get in that. Im going to the body shop next week and Im having a small dent pulled out of my factory hood. My hood wouldnt latch and I forced it a lil too much
Sofa, what do you think about Arkansas so far? I think its nice and quiet, less crowded for sure.
I waved at a black 370z roadster and he waved back/highlight of my day. Lame? Yeah I know
