Branson Z Fest, Whos going?
Zdayz to far away? Well for those who want to go to a similar meet there will be the Branson Z Fest in MO. Dates are May 29-31. Check out the website at http://www.bransonzfest.com/index.php

Branson is a lot of fun! I've gone every year since it started. There is some great scenery and some great drives to be had. Prices are pretty reasonable also.
Last year we had Z's from as far away as Canada, California, Michigan, and New Jersey and there was a guy who flew in from Finland for it! This year he's bringing some friends with him and I just heard a guy from England will be coming!
Please keep in mind that all of the info i.e fees, hotel rates, etc. are for last year. 2009 prices have not been set yet but I do know it is at the same hotel.
Typical turnout is around 100 cars and 2-300 people with plenty of room for more.

Just realized that this is the same weekend as Zdayz....

My experience after my involvement with Branson Z Fest and other Z events is that people tend to make their plans the closer the event is...as in days or a few weeks.
Hang in there Chopperman and don't get discouraged by the lack of response here so far.. There will be a great turnout.

As far as I know, Pickle and Stephen Fowler (Tnkrstoy) from Springdale,AR. are the 2 ramrods this year.
Last year they moved to a different hotel (Ramada Inn) which allows us use of a large paved lot for our car show. A big improvement over the shows at the previous hotel's parking lot.
After the car show last year we had a band. A second band was scheduled but they were a last minute cancellation.

Hey Adam, yes Pickle is still involved. I have been the head administrator for the last 3 years. I have financed the entire event for the last 3 years, with the help of our sponsors. Last year we formed Bransonzfest LLC.
The year you and Brad came up was the only "bum" year we've ever had. This will be the 8th year for Branson and having one "bum" year is pretty good odds. Several sponsors items were apparently lost in shipping or waylayed elsewhere and the entire show was played by ear as best we could do at the time. There are things that happen and are out of our control, those times you improvise as best you can with what you have available. The drives that year went off flawlessly, the only problems were the prizes and show. That to me doesn't negate the entire Zfest. Most of the people come for much more than prizes and trophies.
Bransonzfest is and always has been more about a family re-union with old friends with a like interest. As stated Bransonzfest is in it's 8th year and will continue to be one of the staple Zfests of the year.
You can continue to base all your facts on one year you came, as far as hammering Branson constantly, it doesn't effect Branson in the least. 99.9% of the rest of the people enjoyed themselves and continue to do so. Nearly everyone, along with many others from across the country and world come back every year.
Last year we had a member fly in from Finland, he's coming back this year. Also this year we have another member coming in from England, he flew in to join us at the Midwestzfest in Tulsa last year.
I'm not on My350 that much anymore, I do keep up on the chit chat. I administrate several other web sites that keep me pretty busy.

I just asked a simple ? I thought i may come to this due to the economy instead of driving to the dragon! LOL How was i hammering? I didint mention anything but asked a simple ? geeez. I could care less about the prizes/trophies! I wanted in on the drives which we missed all of them. LMAO but i do miss the Nebraska guys and Dave/Kathy and thought it would be nice to see them.

What are you and Brad doing the 21st of March? We are supposed to drive over to Harrison and meet with the Little Rock/Conway guys. May do a littte run down into the mountains.
