Hey guys... I haven't been on here much... But I am back!
Looking for suggestions for new tires...

I have an 05 PPW Touring, 18 inch stock rims, so I'm looking at 245/45 all the way around.

I have looked at Hibdon Tire, Discount Tire and Big O. So far... I REALLY like the Nitto Invo, but they'll stretch me $846 installed. Convincing my parents to help me pay for those isn't going to be easy.

So for a few other options, I'm looking at the Falken Ziex ZE-512 and Falken FK 452.

I currently have Sumitomo HTR Z II's on and they're completely gone. Not sure how many miles they have on them, at least 33,000 from me. They came on the car with 31,000 on the OD.

But I do a lot of highway driving, around 80 miles a day three days a week, and another 20 on the others. I live on a mile and a half gravel road (sucks *****, but it stays in pretty good shape, no huge pot holes, rug board, etc). Yeah, I know, poor Z on a shitty road, but had to move back home.

So... suggestions? I do not plan on tracking my car, and it is my daily driver... So I need something that goes all around, but not something loud and ugly. I have been using search and I gained some information but not much.

Opinions welcome!

I ran a set of General Exclaim UHP's for awhile. They ride well and are very quiet. The side walls are soft, though, so they don't feel quite as "crisp" as the more firm tires. Handling and traction are good in spite of this.

My next set will be the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110. They ran second to the vaunted Michelin PS2's in the latest Car & Driver tire test.

Both of these will run about $500-$600 a set at Tire Rack.

Good Luck and good to hear from you again!

Who around here, if anybody, carries aftermarket parts for Z's locally? Anybody have any hook-ups? There used to be a performance shop here in Oklahoma City off of May (NuConcepts... this was a couple years back though), but they shut down (I think?). I usually saw Honda's there... but I think they worked on pretty much anything.

No one carries aftermarket parts for Nissan or Infiniti locally, that's one thing that sucks about being in Oklahoma. We used to have Failsafe Performance in Tulsa, but now that's shut down also.

Only other options are Texas or ordering online.

Oh yeah, there's also those locals that have Zs lol

Ugh... lame. And true... met some of these local Z owners... but not many with the HR, and even less (zero) with parts they're looking to sell. I really like seeing an item before I buy it... in person. I don't mind spending a little more money even! It's ordering it blind off the internet with (in the best of cases) at least having to pay shipping to return it if I don't like it.

Yeah I know how you feel, I know I'll never find a local G37 to ever buy parts from.

What kinds of things are you looking for?

I have some GTM resonated Test Pipes that I'm putting up for sale, they fit the HR if interested.

I'm looking for HFC's (save the environment a little ), exhaust, Seibon carbon hood, lip kit, stock rims (not the ones I have now) for some cheap tires for drifting and winter, possibly a roof overlay or spoiler (nismo v3 style/replica), Injen or Stillen longtube intake, maybe some silicone coolant hoses (red), some powder coated pieces, a grounding kit... etc etc etc.

My brother rolls around with them sometimes , and I have a good friend that's close with them also. They all have highend cars like vipers, Zo6, and whatnot. Cool bunch of people who likes and knows alot about cars and now just opened up a shop.

Do you know what kind they have, dynojet, mustang etc?

I could use some pulls. I kinda want to see if changing up my exhaust made any difference, and also if it affected my a/f ratios any more. According to my dashcommand app on my phone I am running slightly lean again.
