I'd just like to say I had a blast the brief time I was there. Sharif and the guys were the nicest dudes ever. I just wanted to know what happened to "Let's go putt the Dragon"? That poor VW never had a chance! I can't wait to see the video of us passing the Corvettes.

Haha...yeah...great times. And fortuantely nobody recieved any citations or collided with anything of substance.

I had one of the best runs, byself. My GF wanted to take a nap, so I stashed her in the cabin, and ran out to run the Tail solo. Several sportbikes stood no chance against me. It was kinda funny. These guys would to try to ditch me in the corners, and I was right on their back tire....so the sport-bikers would try to punch it in the straights, but I mowed them right down instantly. It was great fun...after about 4 turns of trying, they pulled to the right and waved me bye...woohoo!

Well Sharif, your car is probably going to put me even further in debt. I think I'm going to sell one of my other cars and build the Z. Damn you. I should have rode behind someone else!

here are the few that turned out for me. I got behind a horse trailer on my first run through the dragon. Then I had the Lightnin' actually in my trunk. And the one good artsy pic of some black Z.

Sorry I did not get to meet up with you guys. I was up there for a little while on Saturday, but only made a couple runs. Here are a couple pics from my trip.

Sharif....I recognize several of the cars in that first picture....but where's McDuck's? I know he was up there....did he not drive? None of the pictures I've seen from the weekend have him in any of them.

I was in stealth mode. Actually, everyone kept fighting to be behind Doug Stewart and be thoroughly embarrassed. I just hung toward the back. I was behind Sharif on a couple of runs and behind 6SpeedZ on a few others. I have some very sweet videos of runs done on Saturday. Uphill, I got about 1/2 of a run before having to tuck in behind a damn Mini Cooper S which would not pull off for me. Then, coming down, again about 1/2 run before catching up to some bike traffic. I'll try to get them ripped to a manageable size and post links.

Of course... you had a great run when no one was there to witness it.

J/K, Sharif... it was tough to get a good run in. Every time we went out as a group, it seemed we wound up behind a minivan or, worse, a pair of slow-*** Harley riders. Saturday's runs were, for the most part, very frustrating.

I think all had a great time. Because a few of us had all day Friday to kill, we did a long run into Tennessee. All I can say is that Hwy 68 from Telico Plains to the Ocoee River is well worth the drive! It's not the Dragon, but goes through stretchs of tight twisties broken up by long rolling turns. It was a blast!

Now I can't wait for the next trip to TotD. Supposed to be running it with some friends in the PCA and a local Ferrari club sometime soon. If so, I'll definitely tote the video camera along to get some video of the Z schooling the big fish!

McDuck, you better invite me if you play with the Ferrari's.

The 7:30am run with the Carolina Z Club people was the BEST. We pretty much had the road to ourselves. The trick is to hit the Tail right at sunrise, and enjoy until the masses set in.

That run was probably one of the best ones I have had. I guess I need to add to the pic fest. These pix are a little bias, but its all good!

I'm working it. I meet regularly with a couple people who are in PCA. Unlike most Porsche owners, they're actually pretty cool. Ever now and then they do a run (independently, not as a sanctioned PCA event) in the area with the local Ferrari club. The trick is getting them to commit to the longer drive to the dragon. They seem interested, but we have not come up with a date yet. I'll work on them for Veteran's Day weekend since that seems to be the date Zach is trying to get the Zs back up there.

That was Studybuddy. I know him and no one was hurt. Hell, even his car was not too badly damaged.
