“The Coastal Z Club.”
JANUARY 2006
Well what do you know? Another year has passed us by. Some big events are going to happen to me this year; I am going to retire from the Coast Guard after twenty years of service, I will become a full time college student, and my car will probably reach 100,000 miles—amazing but true. I hope to see more members participate in the club events in 2006. It is more fun when a large group of Z Car enthusiasts get together to share stories about their cars and let others look under the hood. The next opportunity for this is going to be Friday night, January 20th, at SONIC on Montgomery Cross Rd. This SONIC is in a highly visible (by the public) area and the past meetings there have been very successful. Of course the “regulars” will be meeting at B & D Burgers on Tuesday, January 17th. Would you like to become a “regular?” Come to the meeting. Many remember the post-holiday party we had last January. We are going to do it again. This year it will be in February. Mike and Shelia Powers agreed to host it again, but their new house is not going to be ready for a party until February. The date is tentatively planed for February 24th. I hope you enjoyed the holiday season and wish you the best for the New Year. Come on out this year and visit with your fellow Z cars!
Friday, January 20th. SONIC, 303 E. Montgomery Cross Rd. (this is near the Oglethorpe Mall) 7:00pm until about 9:30. It might be cold so bring a jacket. We will hang out, eat a hot dog, tell stories, and look at each others cars.
Friday, February 24th. THIS IS A TENTATIVE DATE. The post holiday party at Mike and Shelia Powers house. More information will be sent out soon.
The regularly scheduled meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at B & D Burgers, 11108 Abercorn St. in Savannah at 7:00 pm. will continue. See you there.
