ATL Z owners
The Akebono Calipers are very nice. I currently have our Akebono Conversion Kit for the 300zx on my Z. With that, we do stock both the Nissan and Infiniti versions of the Akebono Calipers. A full set of Nissan Akebono's will generally run around $1173.29. Where as the Infiniti versions are a bit cheaper at around $928.17.
I would recommend the Infiniti version and either paint or powdercoat them. Keep in mind, that price does not include the necessary hardware like slide pins, clips, etc.
If you have any questions about the Akebono Calipers, give me a shout.
We will be releasing our Akebono Brake Conversion Package for the 350Z/G35s soon. This kit will be a great, affordable alternative to the standard aftermarket BBKs with the exception that replacement parts can be purcahsed from any Nissan/Infiniti Dealership.

We were there for about an hour and the lightning ran us off. Had a decent turnout, though. Only 2 Supras, but a lot of Lexus'. Pics here: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=597594
Are any of you going to NOPI? I'm going to try to make it to the show. Also, they are casting for cars and extras for Fast 5 tomorrow. I'm gonna try to make the call if I can get away from work. It would be nice to see the Sup in film.

DO NOT go to GTE in Chamblee.
I have taken my car there numerous times for tire installs with no problems. This most recent time I took my car to have rear tires installed and an alignment.
Shop Tech Kieran is an *******. He strongly opposed the tire choices I had narrowed down for silly reasons. He acted completely WILLING to remove my stock TPMS sensors from my stock wheels and secure them to the bands already in place in my aftermarket wheels. Then, he gives me a call saying they broke one of the bands and suddenly he was very opposed to the use of bands in the first place and acted like it was a huge deal to secure the TPMS sensors. He showed no restraint in telling me that the whole process is a pain in the *** and that he doesn't want to deal with it.
I told him I wanted them to find a replacement band...he puts me on hold to shout to his installer that I (the paying customer) had changed my mind again (I had not, he made my mind up for me) and to stop working, that they'd have to do everything four times (being the exaggerative butt munch he is). They got a band to replace the one THEY broke and stuck me with a $43 tab including a rush delivery.
Now to the alignment. Last week I expressed my intent to have them try to align the car as is and if they could not get it in spec, I would install the camber arms and toe bolts I have and bring it back. He told me that would be no problem. I mentioned it again and made it clear I was under the impression I could install the parts and bring it back for them to finish the alignment (rather than charging me for a second alignment; poor judgment on my part). After putting my Z on the rack and leaving the front the same and making the rear even further out of spec, they told me I'd need to install my parts...at which time they revealed that I would have to pay for the second alignment.
My only reasoning behind waiting to install the camber arms and toe bolts was to save the $150 if I did not need the parts to get alignment in spec...now I will be spending that to have an alignment done somewhere else.
The worst part of the process was when I (a repeat customer who brings much referral business and brings all of my dad's cars for work) asked for a little flexibility on the charges or to at least knock a few bucks off the second alignment, he was unbelievably rude and lacked any titch of compassion.
Sorry for the long rant. Any suggestions on where to go for my alignment?

Damn Keith, that sucks. Thanks for the heads up though.
I'm about to get my car re-aligned at Butler Tire in Marietta. They've done tons of Z's and few GT-R's. Pretty knowledgeable guys. Just my .02

Thanks for the heads up. Second recommendation I have gotten for them. Have you had an alignment done there (since installing KWs preferably)? Did you have aftermarket camber arms or toe bolts? I'm sure they'll know what to do with them, but just want to make sure.
Hey Keith, sorry about your troubles, that really suck. My buddy just had his sl500 at Butler in buckhead. Butler is a little pricey, but they get the job done right. I have used Butler in Marietta and know they do great work. They use to do my alignment on my lowrider
Butler is very good, they take care of the car. They are on the pricey side, but every time I've tried to have a car aligned at budget shops, I end up with some issue.
I think Butler in Marietta is a little more expensive, than the one in Austell or Alpharetta so you might want to call around. Make sure they know you have adjustable arms and what not, because they charge extra for those.
Keith, I am sorry about GTE. I've had a few cars aligned there no problems. I know it's a smaller shop, and a lot of people are overloaded these days. Probably having a bad day, and working all day in a 100F shop can take it's toll on folks.

I actually had it balanced at a different shop after having my wheels repainted and the printout was showing my front right was waaayyy out of spec, but I'm taking it back to Butler to have it re-aligned. I've got SPC Front and Rear arms/bolts.
and no love for my z sittin on stockers huh? lol
Thanks, Thomas. I cleared fine at 275/35 with a 10.5 +12, but I figured getting wider tires and an alignment would make me rub. I actually still clear by a few mm after going to a 285 and -2.6 rear camber to -1.6.
