Default Atlanta Z Club(s)?

I searched for ten minutes, and found nothing on Atlanta-based Z clubs. So, if this has been brought up before, please forgive me.

I know of at least one poster in this area, as he was kind enough to greet me in the newcomers thread. Anyone else in Atlanta or its surrounding areas (I'm on the west side)? Any Z clubs here? If not, has there been talk of organizing one on these forums?

Thanks in advance.

There is the GA Z Club....

if you look on 300zxclub.com there is a GA Z section. While the primarily is for 300zx guys, many 350z guys hang out too.

Also check out importatlanta.com

BTW, i am in marietta and have 3 Zs.

When I think of a "Club" I think of ricer kids, or over the hill adult car groups

Now if you want to meet and hang with fellow Z owners... Just keep checking this local section and other local sections on the other Z forums for meets/events that are posted.

I guess I qualify somewhere in the middle then. I'm 29 and I used to own a "ricer" (a fast one).

95 GS-R, with the basics: DC Sports 4-1, AEM Cold Air, Apex'i N1 Cat-back, clear corners, mild system.

Didn't do that much to it. Had for three years (bought used), and it stopped cranking. About two months ago, I found out that it was a damn $70 box, aka main relay. What a pain in my ***. Decided rather than get it back in shape, I would spend the money on a FR. In my mind, nothing beats an FR for ultimate balance.

Anyway, the Integra didn't have a ton of mods, but OBD1 helped me out, as did the less drastic drive line losses from a FF. Never had it actually timed, but (bear in mind I was young and stupid and don't condone this anymore) I had more than enough street races to gauge its performance. 0-60 roughly 6 flat, with a 1/4 of about 14.5 -14.7@96-97. Not insane or anything, but damn fast for a four banger. I can't tell you how many Mustangs I pissed off.

Noice when I was in highschool (all those years ago LOL), friends were always saying 95 was the best year for VTEC. Of course no real substance to that, but I for some reason still remember that to this day.

Big fan of the Teg, great clean looking car and the GSR motor along with the B18C5 man those were the days.

And I also came from the Honda four-banger (2002 Honda Civic SI with also mild basic-bolt ons). I to pissed off some Mustangs owners too (not GT, but V6 owners were mad LOL).

Oh and yeah the move from FWD TO RWD, I can never go back

Talking

I'm in metro Atlanta too. Hopefully my work schedule will slow down some this fall and I'll be able to check out a few ZAtlanta events.

Well, I have to agree with you there, although the over-the-hill part is purely a matter of perspective. I get the impression that most of the Z-clubs are primarily younger folks, but that doesn't matter to me. I'm 47 and I will still outrun, outparty, and outf*** any 20-something year old out there!! Maybe that's why I never married. I have a 47 year-olds experience and income with a 27 year-olds attitude. Why would I want to mess that up?!?!? I used to go to the hotrod shows and runs up at Pigeon Forge, but most of those guys are well into their 60's and retired and they are purely into musclecars. I like to drink Woodfords or Grey Goose, not Geritol, and my idea of a good time doesn't mean sitting and watching a bunch of 1950's cars roll by --- therefore I tend to gravitate to a bit younger crowd anyway. I like running with folks who are old enough to know better than to do stupid sh*t --- but still young enough to do it anyway on occassion!

Default Revisited

Hi. New I know.. but not new to the Z scene. I previously owned a 370 and a 280 in my former lives. Back on the scene with a 350.

Just wanted to know if anyone in the atlanta area is interested in a drift event. We will be putting something on at the ATL motor speedway on the 9th of August 2019 if you would like to come and hang out/watch/drive/support/chill. We will be on the skid pad (doing skids of course). Bring your Z and your money (so you can get a ride along)... and bring your helmet if you want to drive. We should be kicking things off around 5pm (maybe 530 pm) and running until everyone gets tired. Would love to see all of you out there supporting a grassroots movement. More to follow.

Thanks!
