Something like this really gets to me. I couldn't imagine losing my girlfriend nevermind my wife whom i've been with for probably with 50 years. This sucks and i'm very sorry for the old man and the rest of their family for this stupid **** happening to innocent motorists.

Remember there are three sides to a story. For all that is shown the driver of the taurus could have pulled out in front of the on coming vehicles. I am not condoning street racing but every winter accidents like these are all to common in florida. Elderly drivers not looking or being able to see before pulling out into the road or making U Turns, changing lanes etc. Unfortunatly, I have been hit by one of these drivers. Thank god for a trailer hitch that mounts to the frame of a truck or i would have been killed by a old lady driving a lexus who couldn't see over her steering wheel. If that were to have happened there would have been no uproar, nothing but as soon as it is "speculated" that two cars were racing. Lets throw the book at some one. Come on

 

I considered that having lived in Orlando for yrs ---Used to call St Pete, Fossil Town. Buts thats part of being responsible as far as racing/driving---Knowing the territory ------ weather it be old people, Alligators---or pot holes

 

I have to agree with u on this one. Just a few weeks ago an old man didn't see A SCHOOL BUS STOPPED IN FRONT OF HIM(Big /yellow/lights...happened in central fl.), and went under the bus without even touching da brakes..Roof on the car was gone up till where the back seat and the trunk started...Needless to say he didn't live...Not to say that that is what happened in the above, but the news has a tendancy of making it what they want...

 

hey sorry guys, I am at work. online in the forum yes, paying attention no. I caught it on wjz news last night at 5:00pm it was a 06 w/ led's brickyard in color. I searched all over thier website to no avail thats why I came in here just searching for more info. to quench my thirst for knowledge. my local station is www.wjz.com thanks guys hope i didnt stir up any trouble here since I am a foreigner to the SE region

 

no **** I am reponsible for that huh? wow... an epic milestone has been achieved. Peoples lives are in danger racing like that in residential areas. Just because it hasn't happend to those who do it (yet) doesn't mean that it wont or can't. what appears to be an open road isn't always an open rd.

I just think the media has a hard on for deeming accidents 'street racing' related... gives them something to report. I would need to read the story (I couldn't find it on your link) a 85 year old man driving making a u turn screams caution at beleiving this story.

no one ever wants to admit most old people shouldn't be driving. they scare the **** out of me. (worked next to HUGE retirement community and saw first hand the terror and bloodshed they cause on a DAILY basis)

He was driving a Nissan 350Z. He MUST have been racing. All Nissan 350Z drivers race. Lock him up forever. Who cares what he might have to say. Those Nissan 350Z owners are all just a BAD bunch.
