hey guys, I think that me and brittney are gonna try and meet you guys at dave and busters. Even though the z is still in bad shape that shouldn't keep us from from hangin out with our friends. I think we're gonna intentionally miss out on the z caravan though because I think that might be pretty depressing.

but you guys can pretty well count on us meeting you at D&B's. But I'm gonna have to warn everyone now I think I'm gonna drink my problems away so I'm gonna need someone big enough to carry me out lol.

Dang that sucks. I wont have my car finished til next weds. I could have it done by this saturday but im not paying for nest day shipping on a clutch. So maybe next time.....

 

Man I feel guilty for contributing to this guys tranny problems buy getting him out to the drag strip, I thought karma had got the best of me and given me some tranny problems myself last night but it turned out to be nothing...

Not as good as I would have liked.... I had horrible R/T's and not so good 60's and my shifts are really sloppy because I haven't upgraded my Valve body yet. But all excuses aside I ran pretty consistently 13.4 with 2.2-2.3 60's and >.5 r/t's I hope once i can get this stuff down and get the vb in I'll be running 12's

 

I also wasn't letting my car cool down between runs because I was thinking that I needed to keep the exhaust gas temps up so I would have good spool time. After reading I reallized that I probably could have taken another tenth or two of my time by letting my car cool down between runs. There was some old dude there in a Shelby gt500 there that said something about wanting to teach Derek a lesson

that thing was FAST i think it might have put down some 10's if not deffinitely low 11's they said it was making like 580 at the wheels

 

Who? I don't know anyone with a gt500. And he probably would kill me at a drag strip considering I've made about ohhhhhh 6 quarter mile passes in my entire life haha. I'd be happy to race him though.
