Default Miami mechanic

Looking to install Quaife LSD, but my mechanic is hesitant to do it for fear of not getting the spacing right. I mentioned the Quaife is a 'drop-in' for the Base-model, but he's still uncomfortable. Any Z-buddies in South Miami area with recommendations?

Also, it's a 2005 with 8000miles. If I install LSD, and later develop dreaded Z-tranny-problems, what's the chance Dealer will recognize I have LSD (and then obviously deny warranty)?

I dont know about shops, but if you take it to a dealer they will take apart the tranny they will without a doubt notice the quaife

A dealer should be fine, and a local shop as long as you trust that they have done some and know what they are doing.
