Mazda rev it up
I went to it this past weekend in Atlanta. It's pretty well run and was a lot of fun.
One piece of advice though. In most of the events they tell you to leave the car in "drive" mode. That is, leave it in automatic and don't mess with the tiptronic thingy. Well, if you want to do well, don't listen to them. The people running the best times were slipping it into manual mode, putting it in 2nd gear and leaving it there. The auto was trying to shift at all the wrong times, so don't use it.
Also, go to the ESPN truck and ask around about the guy that got blown 30 feet into the air and landed on the hood of the Sirius car. There was some really bad weather at our event and I saw this dude get launched and come crashing down on the hood of the car. It was crazy.
Have fun,
LG

yeah I went in atlanta, didnt see the guy get blown up tho.
fun stuff anyway. I didnt try the 2nd gear trick, but Id agree, launch in 1st and kick it to 2nd and leave it, that damn thing wouldnt stay in the damn gear.
