Tire wear shouldn't be an issue from front to back. I did notice that when I first replaced my tires in the rear and at high speeds the rear was bouncing around. That was in a straight line. But someone informed me that new tires come with a protecting coating for storage and you would need to do some brisk driving to wear it off. Did this and it came off quickly and everything was fine. But you've said it's been about a month, so I don't know. You should be fine.

Hey guys I was up there on sunday and had a great time. I will post some pics when they are up. You guys should really try road "180" Best piece of road on that mountain, it was none stop left, right, and you turn. Its not very long though.

BTW one of my tires keeps going flat on me where is the best place to get it check out and fix?

yeah, that is Georgia's best road - Wolf Pen Gap. We went down it in the September run, I guess you were one of the ones who stayed on 19/129.

We also went down 180 on the other side of 19/129 and that's Richard Russell Scenic Hwy.

Yeah I thought that was the road that the guy in the EVO crashed in front of me, it was only my second time on that route.

It can suck in the winter though, they spread gravel on it to help with traction.

Where did he crash on 60? I live on 60, although in Gainesville. I use it to get up there a lot however. You would have to be REALLY pushing it to lose it on that road I'd think?

I don't think so, we turned around after we past over a small bridge. We went up and down twice. How is the road after that bridge?

Here's a few pics.

They're nothing but a bunch of crooks. They told me I needed a brake job when rotors were in perfect shape and pads had tons of life. Next time I went to the Alpharetta one instead of Buford Hwy and those stupid ****s took the finish off each and every one of my wheels at the rim - exposing a fine white line. And I've been leaking air ever since they installed my tires last year.

Thompson Bridge Road on the edge of town (by the lake). Should give me a yell we'll hang out sometime. Friday night at Wild Wings was nuts.

I don't really recognize the pics....but Brasstown is a off-shoot of 180 to the left if you're coming from the direction I think you are (19 out of Dahlongega)? It's steep, and plenty twisty. Not all that long..last time I was up there there was snow on the ground still.

Brasstown Bald is to the right on 180 (going north on 19) - I think Ihewas on the short stretch of 180 to the left between 60 and 19/129. And one of those pictures is at the Blood Mountain hiking store on 19/129
