Is there anyone that lives in east tn?

 

Hello Lin350z - there are several people on here from East TN, but this board has Tennessee in the South Central rather than where we all think it should be (South East). Other boards have TN in SE some in SC. Anyway, I live in Maryville, my parents in Friendsville. My wife and I have a PPW 350z roadster. On other boards I am listed as Tennessee350zr so you may see a post on other sites for ET, Knoxville or Maryville. Some Z and G owners from around Maryville/Knoxville have had a few gatherings for rides in the mountains - the Tail of the Dragon mostly. Working on getting a message board or an ongoing post for get togethers to go on rides monthly. We had 2 Z's and 2 G's in Sept, then in October we had 4 Z's and a Sky. Not sure if you are interested in what we call mountain rides or runs, but you are more than welcome. We are all ages, from college freshman to the late 30’s early 40’s – some like to run faster that others but it all works out. When we get another ride up, one of us will send you a private message. Do you know other Z owners Tony.

Some of us are planning a run on Sunday 11/18/07. Likely starting South Knoxville (campus area) to areas of Oak Ridge and west of there - a 2 hr or so run. Other option may be the Dragon - Mostly Z's, others welcome too. More info late Wednesday hopefully. Sort notice, but everyone is welcome. Some Z's and maybe others are going on a ride this Sunday, 11/18/07.

Here's the plan and route for Sunday, November 18th. First group, meet at Courth South on Alcoa Hwy around 10am - head out from there to the Kroger at Pellissippi and Northshore drive (around 10:15 or 10:30a) to meet up with the West Knoxville and others in that area that might show.

We'll head down Northshore to Lenoir City, then we'll creatively get over to road to Oak Ridge - nice sweeping curves. Once in Oak Ridge, some may drop off and head back to Knoxville, some others will head up the short drive to Oliver Springs, then likely take 62 up toward Brushy Mountain prison/Frozen Head State Park - we can then head back to Oak Ridge or keep going up to Wartburg, then South to 40E to Knoxville or down just below 40 and take the old Tennessee/Knoxville Hwy back. We are very flexible, just want to enjoy a beautiful day in East Tennessee. PM me if you would like to join us and we can trade cell numbers.
