National Speed in Wilmington, NC would be the closet place that I would recommend. Good luck.

I was told that a guy from Fayettville has a nismo Z and he couldn't do better than a 14.3 @ the drag strip. Now I don't know if this is true or not but if anyone knows could you tell me. The reason I asked that question is because I took my stock Z to the track and ran a 14.1. If u guys know anyone who's gotten a better time stock could you tell me what time they got.

I was there and I know the guy. First of all none of the Zs got below a 14.1. The track was wet and we were there so late that they had quite cleaning the track for the night, plus we each had about 8 to 10 runs each so that may not have been his best time. My best time was a 14.1 with a reaction time of 1.1 and max speed of 100mph. No one did really well that night.

Like alaina my wife said bad night but a while back when i first meet Fidelis with the nismo he was running mid to low 13's i'll call him and get the slipe from that night. As for my car our best run that night was a 14.1 with a crappy reaction time car wouldnt catch traction at all but all of us car enthustiast people know that the track is for test and tune. Good thing i ran that night i found out my clutch line is jacked up so im getting a ss clutch line and some sticker tires looking at maxxis international maz1 or federals hopefully that will help me stick better

how were u able to tell that your clutch line was messed up. How exactly was your car performing and also for a stock Z, what would they run normally on the track? Sorry ifthe question about the clutch was a dumb question but I'm sort of a newbie!!

Default clutch line

When i would take off from the line the pedal would stay to the floor, the clutch would be disengaged, and the wheels would just spin so what was happening was the line would either stretch or get a bubble in it causing no pressure in the line to push the peddle back up. But if it isnt that then probly its the slave cyclinder.

I dont know exactly what it would be for a stock Z, but i say between 13.7 to mid 14s depending on car and driver. My car was running ok not the greatest but its also car a driver that detemine along with track and weather i should on been running mid to low 13's but hey once i get my clutch line fixed ill run again i put my time card on here so people can see the improves and sustains on the car from before. I hope that answers your question

Yea, it pretty much does! I ran a 14.1 with my stock Z and I thought that might have been the best time I could get. But u said in the high 13's low 14's, wow. What rpm do you launch from and would I need slicks to get in the 13s with a stock Z?

No, you dont need slicks to get 13s just a good launch/ reaction time. i say try launching at 2,500 rpm and see what you get sometimes i launch around that and sometimes i dont even launch

Do you do your own work on your Z or do you take it to a shop in Fayettville?

Yeah, JDM did a really good job on my clutch. MUCH better than the OEM setup. Just waiting to get a steel-braided clutch line, and switch to RBF-600 and then I'll be set. Wish I had a chance to track the Z. Would have liked to see what I could get, but I've been busy, and it's probably too cold now.

I, for one, am not very fond of many shops in Fayetteville. Most just don't know what they're doing, so I've learned to do things myself, for the most part. However, JDM does a fantastic job. Been going there, since I haven't had the time to work on the Z.
