Yeah, street racing strikes a cord with me because my brother almost died. He was in the ICU for 2 months, in a coma, fractured 4 ribs, punctured his lungs, liver and needed a transfusion. He's disabled now - races at the track now - with one hand mind you, he has no feeling on his left side, including his left arm and leg. He has a Buick Grand National - modified. My father used to race Jag's and Alpha Romeros in Italy. He had a 650hp big block in his 68 Camaro when I was a teen. So I come from a family of racers and modifiers.
Ironically, people actually make fun of me for driving like an old woman on the street, but it's ok, I have nothing to prove to ricers.

And since Miguel's B-day will be coming up in a few days, guess I'll be designated driver this weekend. I hate you guys for having a 6th gear... it **** with me!!!!

Let us stop arguing please. Christine was saying it with passion because of her brother, and knowing Milton, this guy does not drive recklessly and I can vouch for that. We went to Tampa and Milton called me on my cell phone to stop me from my "spirited driving," passing and overtaking the 18 wheelers on rt. 80. But i was getting the rush down shifting. lol
I also asked Christine @ HIN if she does race, and she gave me the same answer, without elaborating about her brother. I thought she was psycho with her answer. It is just her normal reaction to answer that way when she hears about racing, but I didn't know that time why. Know she earns my respect.
If there is anybody guilty here, its me. I really get psycho when I street race especially when it's rush hour. That's why I don't need the boost or the big displacements, for me its all in the driver. I will race anybody @ 5 PM @ 826 or I-75, and let me see your FI or whatever. M5, corvette, M3, AMG, they all mean **** to me when it's rush hour @ I-75 and 826.
We all like to drive fast, reason we have all these cars, to think otherwise is just being stupid, but as long as we do it responsibly and we don't hurt anybody from our stupidity.
Racing for me is not as bad as driving intoxicated. I see a lot of people posting that they want to drink Friday, NOW how come there is no argument about this?
Maybe because you people put the liquor in your stomach and not in your head?
Again stop the argument. You don't know each other that much, so it doesn't make sense.
