Volk lip repolishing in south florida

^ Thanks.
After about 30 mins of researching the topic, I have nearly come to the conclusion that I either need to deanodized the lip and then sand down the finish and polish. Seems that not too many places even know how to work on the volk finish and rays does not let out torque specs either.
Seems to me that for the price of these wheels, that there would be a better finish on the lips and better support on how to re polish them. At this point, I would rather have them raw and just apply sealant and wax after every polish than to deal with a delicate clear coat.

Silver - jun is spot on. i couldn't recall the name. if turbax can't handle em
you're basically screwed. they are industry leaders and only handle refinishing.
http://www.turbax.com/
best of luck. lakers is also correct, they can get them to 99% tho.

miguel had some place in texas fix his wheels after he beat them up really bad. if i remember right it was something like 150/ea but they are perfect. might wanna try getting a hold of him. cant remember if that was with shipping or not.
ive polished aluminum before and you can get that down to a mirror shine. not sure how it works with volk lips and if they are the same way.

Well from what Ive read, im just going to live with it. It seems like too much hassle. Only one rear is noticeable. Everything else is mitt scratches that you have to be right on top of to see.
If it comes down to it. Ill just strip the clear and keep the lip polished weekly. I don't have a problem polishing them all the time, the car is garage kept.

I had some curb damage repaired, wheels straightened, and polished by First Place Wheels a little while ago. He did a great job, $100 a wheel, and had it done in a day.

No, mine weren't Volks. But the guy does a lot of the high-end two piece wheels. The price will probably be a little more, but he'll negotiate a deal with you and he comes to you to do the work.
