Anybody from St. Petersburg or Clearwater
Is there anybody in here that live in that area?
The wifey and I want to move to that part of the world(from Dallas Texas). We went for our honey moon and fell in love with it. Nice people, nice weather, the whole nine yards. I know we were there for 2 weeks only , and that is where my questions come in.
Is it nice all year round?
Is there really bad neighborhoods to avoid?
The people are good?
Anything little detail would really help me out on the decision.

Have lived in Florida most of my life (born in NY). A cultural abyss with
amazing weather year round. Every once in a while you will have to hold
your breath for hurricanes, but otherwise perfect. Job market is soft in
the area you mention, so unless you're a physician/attorney/work at home
you might have a hard time finding challenging employment. St. Pete/Clearwater
happen to be very nice, and are not over-populated and remain very locally
oriented. As with any town there are places to avoid. Without over generalizing
the locals are a lot of fun and motorsports happens to be extremely popular
in Central Florida.

I work in clearwater and live about 20 min away. Very nice and very nice people...you will enjoy it and the housing market is very unstable right now and you will be able to find a steal..
Thanks for all your help.
I'm a Sales Manager for Hyatt Place. I think there should be more then enough business for me there.
If we move, I'm thinking of lining up a few interviews, move there by myself for a couple of weeks and then take the wifey.
