Well, I'm kinda torn right now. I love my Z, the fact that it's paid off makes it even better. But, I have a Honda Element and the Z. The apartment downtown I'm moving into has limited parking and I ultimately need some kind of SUV for my job. Either next year or the year after, I'll being buying a house. I imagine then I could buy any sports car I like then. My fiancè told me I should sell both cars of mine and either get a Range Rover Sport or BMW X6. I dunno, but if I keep the Z, I would hardly ever drive it. It would have to stay in Kendall with my parents or in-laws, then I'd have to drive 40 mins each way, then do it again to pick up my SUV. Parking in $200 a month per car. It's a pain having a total of 3 cars (including my fiancé's IS)

Now, if the trunk of the GTR can fit my medical equipment, maybe I'll go for that but daily driving a GTR would be hard. I'd always be worried about it getting damaged.

Jes, if you are planning to buy a house, you don't want to have other payments especially a Range Rover or X6. That is the wrong way to start your marriage, especially high car/SUV payments.

Your Z is fully paid, but good luck with your decisions. Ask your parents for advise.

Just keep them both, esp they are paid off, but don't spend on something big if you are planning to get married.
OR if you want to get the 'SUVs, then don't get married for now.

Wes,

My finances are in really good shape. I own a property in Homestead which is rented out, and I save a pretty good ammount a month. I can afford the Range or the X6 easily with what I make. I've been saving most of my money this year for my wedding which I'm paying for in cash. My budget for car realted expenses is around $1500 a month.

The reason why I said that I'm buying a house in a year or two is beacuse my property down south is currently not worth as much as it was due to the housing market taking a nose dive. When the market improves I'll probably get a house in Coral Gables.

I work really hard and make good money. Because I work so much, and spend alot of time in the car, I'd like to have a car that really makes a statement and is comfortable. I work with Surgeons on a daily basis and most of them drive nice cars. I take them to dinners all the time and would like a nice professional car to go in. Not a race car 350Z.

Not sure if you understand.

Nice Jes. Since you are making good money, and it would help you with your work, go for it then. It seems like you have outgrown the Z anyway. Your priorities are changing.

I'm happy for you. God Bless you in your decisions.

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I've dedicated myself to my job 110% for the last 3 Years and it finally paid off. It's the reason I don't hang out with you guys often.

My priorities are changing but, I wouldn't say I've out grown the Z. It's really difficult to let go. Especially, since everything done to the car was so meticulously selected and everything installed was done by me personally or a professional. I still get the euphoric feeling when I drive it, but I feel deep down that I need a change.

My ultimate dream car is a Shelby 427 Cobra Roadster. Maybe when I finally get the house, I can get the replica and drive it on the weekends.

Man it's so hard to even think about getting rid of the Z, I've put my soul into it.
