FINALLY got to drive my car again. I am so happy! Looking forward to the run. I doubt cooling will be an issue.

 

There are a few good spots to pull off and regroup(or cool teh cars off). So I don't think that will be a problem.

Chris...bad news: Andrea and I won't be coming. We will have to make the next run.

Biggest problem is that my car isn't ready. I wanted to drive to this event not ride shotgun, so I will have to wait until my build is complete. The shop is waiting on the turbo build. Hopefully the next run event can be on a Saturday. Andrea can't get Monday off and we have an 8hr drive back home.

I am not happy about this but it is what it is....

Drive within your limits. Thats exactly what im going to do. Ive never participated in a autocross event or mountain run. Youll be fine.

 

good advice. Drive the Z so you get more comfortable with the car. It will suprise you how responsive it can be.

We need more Zs to show up! I dont plan on wrecking either so you can drive granny with me

 

the roads are pretty intense if youre pushing it... but like you said... drive within your limits... and also your cars limits... alot of factors can contribute to a f**k up... what i learned on my trip up was dont just watch the z infront and back of you and the lines watch for road debris... a sand patch has proven to take out an experienced mt runner

400 ends right at 19 and you can't miss the chevron gas station it is straight ahead right after that happens.

I'm not... I just sprung a leak in my rear right tire. Got up this morn and pressure is down 6psi from last night when I checked. All others are still the original pressure.

Well how did it go?

 

I was there at 10am with bells on.... Karl and I were the only ones who showed. Waited at the Chevron till 10:40am.

Roads were great! Cops were out in force and tagged some bikers. We escaped w/o incident.

Wish there would have been more of a turnout.

 

Sorry guys, I was at the jail all night Sat until 5am trying to get my bro out. It was not a good night. Hope we can get something else together soon.
