Default Orlando Peeps, Info/Help request.

I am looking at any info that any of you could give me on a vacation rental or a place to stay down there for a week for me and my family.

I am thinking of taking a vacation to Walt Disney World over my vacation for Thanksgiving. I am in in the Army, and since we are heading back to Iraq early next year, we have our vacation time already lined out at certain times, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am looking at what we can do over Thanksgiving, and I can get some discount tickets for Disney (I get one free 5 day park hopped pass, and then up to 5, 5 day single park passes for $99 each, $25 upgrade to park hopper per ticket) so for 5 day park hopper tickets for me and my family will only cost me $372 for all of us.

I am looking for a place the 21st or 22nd thru the 28th of November. I looked into the Resort the Military has there, but its booked and all the places I found online are 150+ a night.

Anyone got a hookup or an idea? It is me, my wife, and 3 kids, 11 y/o, 6 y/o and infant. I thought maybe some of my my350z.com brethren might know where I could get a decent place for a lot less than all the advertised places. Doesn't have to be 5 star place, but not a rat-hole either.

Thanks

Just look west of 192, there are tons of places to stay the farther the cheaper. Be prepared to spend $65 to $85 per night due to the holiday. Military discounts are by per-diem, some times ur just better off with out it, so check the area and see what their paying... Hope this helps:

Call Disney and ask for the Shades of Green Resort. It is a hotel just for GI's and its way less than the average disney raping for rooms.

Another way to save money on tickets to attractions is go to a timeshare and listen to a BS advertisement for about an hour and then just decline it. Its normally good for like two tickets a park. When some of my relatives from NY come down then spend one day doing that at different time shares and get all the tickets they want for free for the whole week!

One of my friends parents have a condo there, I will see if it is booked. If not he is military as well, and I know they would hook it up. I will try and get an answer by this weekend.
