NC state inspection w/Powerlab turbo kit
I was wondering if anyone in the forum has the Powerlab turbo kit and has to deal with the NC state inspection? I know that they check the O2 sensors, but the kit replaces the catalytic converters and plugs the O2 into the downpipe. Will I still be able to pass?
Ive been reading on the internet but couldnt find an answer, so im turning to you all for an answer.
thanks.

Yes and no. They do a visual check and they also plug into the OEM ECU. I read up on the kit and the Turbo XS UTEC how you can revert it back to stock, but the kit replaces the cats.
I hope this doesnt get locked or deleted lol. The sensors are attached to the downpipe on their way out the car so technically its an "exhaust" question.

if ur CEL isnt on u should b golden. They do visually inspect the cat however before u get it inspected talk to the tech and state the truth and maybe throw him a 20. Just remember to make sure the tech is gonna do it bc if u fail then ur gonna b pissed
by the state of NC for failing. Its like a $500 fine if you arent within standards. Trending Topics

I don't have a turbo but got inspected at Family Tire with test pipes and passed. They said if I failed they would charge me $26 and give me a month (maybe 2, I forget) to fix the problem. Then if I passed the second time around I would only have to pay the $4 difference.
