Default Need shop in the Triad

Searched and found good comments on shops in the Charlotte and Raleigh area but nothing around the triad. Need a clutch in my 05. Want to upgrade but caught a little grief from the one shop I contacted in Greensboro who shall remain nameless. Would not warranty his labor, I understand about the unit since I did not purchase from him.

Secondly, can anyone give me a labor ballpark for this repair based on past work.

Thanks in advance.

Ive done two with my uncle (who is an ex nissan tech). Done one at his house in the driveway on jackstands and done mine with him while on a lift, Not to hard of an install but just time consuming. I would just call nissan though and get a quote of what they would charge and just consider that a base line for labor price.

I have been dealing with The Z Shop in Greensboro for close to 20 years. I have never had a bad experience with them and they have worked on several of my Z cars. Not sure if that is who you were talking about or not. Most shops that I have dealt with will not warranty the work if you bring in outside parts. Which, like you said, makes sense.

Thanks. I did have a good conversation with Jason at the Z shop. Quoted me a fair price and even offered me a loaner for the day. Looks like this will be the way I will go.

Z Shop in GSO replaced my clutch today. Excellent service, fair price and free shuttle to and from my office. I did leave the stock flywheel in unturned, $1000 more was not budgeted this month. No high pressure pitch to change this out. Clutch engagement point is much lower but feels really good. Would recommend based on this experience today.

Glad to hear you had a good experience. I need to take mine up there to get them to put on my new rear rotors.
