Default To tune or not To tune?

To start with i have an 06 auto roadster. i am waiting for a 5/16 spacer coming in. i have the following mods done:
nismo cai

went from 335 to 353 (i switched it from a friend with a 06 manual) final end drive ( i may have that backwards) it helped my acceleration but cut top end

aps 2.5 test pipes

hks hi power

nismo lmgt4's

i need info on when i get my spacer installed, is it time to get tuned? if so from past experiences which is best? osiris (no bashing me for an modded auto either because i love my baby and all the haterz can hate)

I gained over 12hp and 10tq from my Osiris pro by just adding fuel. Have not played with timing yet either and not to mention a ton of other stuff. I can get mine tune whenever because I have the pro but if you just want somebody to flash it then it depends on how much more mods you are going to do. Well worth the money if you ask me...

JWT pop charger+1/2 plenum spacer = 239hp 230tq
AAM Test pipe+Invidia G200 = 251hp 240tq
Osiris tune = 264hp 251tq

Like I said there might be some more room to improved on those numbers but I won't bother with it until after headers install. Trying to squeeze that last little bit of power NA with tuning.

Thanks for the quick response. All I have is a 5/16 MD spacer and MREV2. After I get some HFCs I was going to look into a tune. Not sure if it would be too early or not so I am doing my research now. Thanks again.

i would get a tune.

even a bone stock car will benefit from a tune so with any mods you will benefit in fuel economy, throttle response, and power.

anyway your friend wants 3.55 gears again? i need 3.3 gears

Just remember Tuner pro will get you the license and cable for you to tune/reflash as many times as you want. You will obviously need somebody to tune and pay for dyno time. If you just want a reflash with tune it will a bit cheaper but you will have 5 maps already but no adjustability for future mods. Like Function:Tuned in NOVA charges you something like $500 for the services. Im not sure who is the rep here in the SE.

BTW someone is selling a used tuner pro unit in the Turbo/SC/NOS section of the classifies...

I hadn't really planned on tuning mine yet but I have basically the same mods. Those are solid numbers, I think I know what my next mod will be.

Let me know when that spacer comes in Bobby, I'll help you put it in one weekend.

Yo Juan its Tom (S14@SIM on CN)

I rented a dyno for 2 hours in Richmond when I was still in VA and had a buddy help me tune the car. The dude was used to tuning DSM so he wasn't quite comfortable with making too much changes. Now that I'm back in Greensboro, I have a few people that I'm more comfortable with tuning my car but I just need to find a good dyno place. If I find a place then I will let you know.
