At home depot, there is adhesive remover called Goof Off. It is a cousin of Goo Off, but it is safe for car paint. I've used it many times to take off the tape residue. After you use it, wash it off immediately with water and then throw a quick coat of wax on the area just to be safe.
Love bug season? Already? I think it still might be too cold.... but anyhoo, i wouldn't recommend blue taping the front of the car for a long period of time. I did it once for a four hour drive in FL and when i got to Gainesville the tape came right off, but you could still kinda see some of the marks from the tape lines. Not a big deal, it went away after a few washes. Here's how i had set it up (it's more of a b*tch to do than you think >____>)

But what JBLZ said is true, i use the Goo Gone spray bottle specialized for bugs (orange colored liquid) and it works wonders, plus it doesn't damage the paint. Throw some water on, spray it, let it sit for a minute or two, then throw on some elbow grease and you should be okay

I wax the hood, front bumper, side mirrors, and Rain-x the windshield. I use to drive to Cocoa Beach from Miami about 6 times a month and once I got to Ft. Pierce.... The madness would begin.
