Where to try and buy racing seats in south florida?
Anyone know of a shop in south Florida that stocks racing seats? I'd like to actually sit in some before buying. I've sat in some seats at the track but it would be easier to decide if I could sit in a few different seats back to back.
I think OMP may have their distribution center here (but I'm not 100% sure). I heard that they have a store there. I looked for this place briefly though when I was in the market but never found it. Joel may have an idea though.
Other than that, just try a bunch at the track.
We still on for the 15th?

either way, i've got a kirk which is being shipped to me currently, and will order a 6-pt harness by saturday most likely. probably won't have it all set up for the 15th, but definitely all ready for january!
almost positive i'm in for the 15th. i found a place in pompano that has a recaro pole position for me to try but they aren't open during the weekend so it'll be tough for me to make it there. and then there is wine country motorsports in jupiter which is just a long drive. when i sat in your sparco, i seem to remember thinking the slot for the shoulder harnesses was a bit too low for me. but i might have to try your seat out again.

Congrats on the Kirk. I got someone to buy mine...just have to wait until after the Winterfest event to pull it out. BTW...you doing Nasa at Homestead? Jan 5-6. My other Z and m3 buddies will be there.
When you look into the harnesses, think down the road to whether at some point you will want a Hans. If you do, opt for the 2inch shoulder/chest belts as opposed to a 3 inch. Neither is worse, but they started making the 2 inch to just be more compatible with the Hans. Just some more research for you!
Remind me to bring your wheels too. I'm used to them sitting in my living room now. (I'm about to make them a coffee table
)
*is it all bride or other brands as well?

thanks for pointing that out. i wasn't aware of the difference before. Definitely don't want any rep seats to be used for a track car. safety is the last place to compromise.
