Hey guys!

Just wanted to pop in and say whats up. Just moved to the Jacksonville area from VA/DC/MD area and wanted to see what the local Z scene was like down here.

Are there any meets of the sort?

Relocated the alternator. It's a northern thing...don't worry about it

 

In the process of moving back to J-ville. Wasn't much of a scene before.

 

I'm looking for a 350Z to buy (I currently have a 1990 300 which is getting a bit long in the tooth to be a daily driver). From looking at the KBB values, I believe I can probably afford a 2006-2007 z in the Enthusiast/Touring/GT range with reasonable mileage (ca. 70k-90k or less). Color is fine. Leaning towards the Touring if I can get it.

I'm in Gainesville, FL, can anyone
1) Suggest a good Z mechanic in the Jax area I could take one to to check it out if I find one in that area? I have a good mechanic in Gainesville, but can't get a car to there for him to check it out.
2) Warn me off any specific dealers as worse-than-usual?

Also, if you're in the mood -- any specific things I should ask about/concern myself with? Any obvious concerns that might hide themselves?
