Why would they be as long as they have the Federal certification?

I wouldn't sweat it. You can always go 5 miles out of town to have it inspected. I have had test pipes on for over a year now.

http://www.crawfordzperformance.com/highflowcats.htm

it says for off-road applications only.

In North Carolina and most other states it is illegal to tamper/ modify the stock cats or replace them w/ aftermarket cats or test pipes.

Most inspection stations wont even be able to tell it the cats are aftermarket or stock. So i wouldnt worry about it, but if they try to give you any trouble just slip them a $10 and tell them to forget about it.

about the tint, just find someplace that does inspections where u know someone or is out in the country where they dont really care. But they charge you $10 no matter what if you have tint.
