Add me to that group. I am pretty sure I can take a Viper if I want to...
I hope to have my car back down for HIN in Orlando. I will make sure to use my DR's and should hook well enough...

On stock tires last time I ran (without blowing up my axles) I ran a 12.8 @115. This was spinning most of 1-3rd and running about 500whp and 452 torque.
I am running more power now and have 18" x 315 Drag Radials at the moment and they gave me soo much traction I snapped my inner CV joint and blew an axle 2 weekends ago.

I am having specially made axles by Vinny Ten and will be welding the joints to the axle to prevent this from happening again...

I also have some adjustable camber arms/toe bolts I will be messing with shortly, along with a fully built block in a couple of weeks so I will be pushing well over 650whp at the track.. and will have solved the negative camber problems giving me the largest contact patch possible.

We shall see man, but I think I should be able to handle a Viper...

Yes, I had just had the level 5 axles installed. But remember the inner CV is what busted, not the axle itself. The only reason the axle needs to be replaced is because when the CV exploded, it tore the splines up off the inner portion of the axle.

The axles come with a 1 year warranty and DSS is honoring that, even though they feel their axle was damaged because of a defective Nissan OEM part (The inner CV joint). They are building me a new one as we speak. I hope to have it installed by the end of the week.

There is some discussion of welding the CV bushing to the axle, and once I have the final part in, I will do that to help strengthen this area of the drivetrain.

I will say that my car is heavy, I think we weighed in at 3750 lbs and I think that had something to do with why the CV joint failed. I am sure it also did not help that I was running DR's, the track was super sticky, and Alberto was trying to have me launch at a much higher RPM level then I am used to. I will say that I will not be launching at 5500 RPM any time in the near future. Need to perfect that launch style on street tires first to make sure I have it down right, before moving up to sticky tires again.

Is there still a meet on Saturday, or just the movie on Friday?
Not sure if I can make the movie - depends on if my car is done, what time I get off work, and what time y'all decide to go.
