i re-used the shims from the OE pads. I used centric parts rotors (that took over stoptech) that are double disk ground, so maybe it will take a little longer to bed those. Im having a hard time trying to get the rears up to temp to bed them though. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't worry about bedding the rears. They don't get as much use. Take care of bedding the front brakes and the rears will be fine.
Did you use any anti squeak compound? CRC has some really cool spray that is like contact adhesive. It sprays on red. I sprayed it on the back of the pad and the shim, let it get tacky, and put it all together. I have had no noise on two cars.

i used tons of anti-squeal brake lube stuff. it is not a squeal. its a definate rotor/pad sound. It just sounds like the pads are riding against the rotors partly engaged, on both sides, all the time. my ebrake is adjusted perfect too so its not that. i know the caliper slide pins are not seized either, i lubed them up good with high temp grease.
Oh does anyone know what slider pin on the rear goes in which slot. One of the pins has a recessed ring about 1/4 inch from the tip and the other doesnt. i didnt know if that one when on the top slider or the bottom?

OK, guys, got a question for you all?
It sounds like everyone is headed to FunkMaster FLex show, March 17th.
What about Spring Break Nationals, March 24-25th?
I was all set for this, and then got a reminder that the Z Nationals is being held that same weekend (March 23rd – 25th) in Georgia... Anyone here going to that, or is everyone staying local for the weekend party in Daytona?

It has been pointed out that in the past this has been primarily a 300Zx event, and not really for the 350Z. This of course would be based on the fact the 300zx has been out a while and we are the new guys on the block.
So, I think I will be passing on this and going to Daytona for the Spring Break Nationals. I prefer to hang with the O.Z.O.C guys at the beach anyway. You guys are a blast to hang out with
