When movers moved me from korea, they unpacked my shipping container at the yard when they were supposed to open the seal in front of me. I did an inventory and they stole my camera bag, the camera I have now and a 300mm zoom lens with all appropriate filters. About 2500 worth of stuff. I was pissed,

The military being what it is, gave me a long drawn out drama and tons of paperwork to file so that I could recoup the cost.

It was more hassle than it was worth, every time i turned it in there was a change or something was wrong.

I just ended up saing F it!

Dang I forgot its the Army's B day. I should of known that.

I can tell you, being still in, and 1 Tour to Iraq under my belt. I am going to keep on doing it and be the Retiree that you are Rich.

I have roughly 12 years left and I am done. If I wasn't trying to retire as an officer I would have less that that around just over 8 years left. I have to do 10 as an officer before I can retire, and I have 2 years left of school still.

Oh well, would rather do the extra time and have the pension of a Major than the pension of a Master Sergeant or Sergeant first Class. Their pension is roughly half of a Majors.

If my knee hadnt blown out like it did I would probably still be in, 4 years, two tours of duty overseas. I miss doing honor guard and funeral detail. The latter may sound morbid to some of you but I considered it an honor to render final military honors to those who served in the same uniform that I did.

Happy Bday army
