IM BAAAAACK!!!!! I haven't been around for a couple of days but, here I am. Just got discharged from the hospital late last night (I almost escape thru a window) after 2 days of labs, tests and being connected to all kind of weird machines. I wasn't feeling good Tuesday morning having some chest and left arm pain so I called a friend of mine who is my primary physician and he did an EKG and 5 minutes later i hear sirens. Then doctor walks in the room and says: Paramedics are here to take you to the ER. Im like WTF is going on?? Well... the test he performed was very abnormal and apparently I was pretty close to have at least a mini stroke so next thing I know I'm being rushed to Florida Hospital. After medications, IV, nitroglyceryn patches and who knows how many things they did then I got admitted for observation. Yesterday was a damn looooong day having tests all day long without any food since Tuesday noon. Results.... HIGH CHOLESTEROL... OVER 300. No more pork chops, fried chicken, ribs . Dr. didn't say anything about hamburguers or hot dogs so I'll be eating plenty of those at the BBQ on Sunday . It just feels good to be back!!!! Z-ya guys on Sunday!!

I don't think hamburgers or hotdogs have any cholerterol.

Juan I'm glad to here that you're feeling better, and sad that this has happen to you...You know we Puerto Ricans love to eat (chuleta frita, carne frita, lechon ect...) and you really have to watch what you eat just to keep it under control now... HIGH CHOLESTEROL, OVER 300 is not good.

Thanks Rich... I should be ok with the medications I was prescribed but it will be a pain in the a$$ to stay away from all that kind of food. In the building where i work at there's a cafeteria that has spanish food Tuesdays and Thursdays and sometimes I was eating rice and beans with pork at 10:30 a.m. That will definitely has to stop. Thanks God it was just a wake up call. Later bro!
P.S. Gosh... there are some HOT nurses in that ER.

 

Good to hear all is O.k now Juan.
It's time you start living and eating healthier....I stopped eating fried food about 3yrs ago and all meats are lean for me...cost a bit more but much healthier for you.

Who are you telling, I still dont have my car. They got the corner panel off today. The other one came in yesterday, had dents in it. Got the hatch in as well, it had to be returned it was all jacked up! WTF!!!!!!!!! I am guessing 2 1/2 more weeks left. This is taking for ever! Still no seats as well. I am about to start a claim.
