Default Bad night..

Driving my car home tonite on 408 my carbon fiber roof flew off and then was ran over and shattered into a million pieces! How sad is that! So now I have dried glue all over my roof.

I had it on there really good except the 1 corner was not flush... air must've got in...

Hopefully with my tax return I can just bite the bullet again... and have a professional install it.

Thought I'd vent.

Sure I can take some pics, no problem. I am right next to the 408, it takes about 10-15 min from here to downtown traffic dependent.

I basically live right next to dean and lake Underhill, or 408 and Dean Rd.

5min from waterford lakes. Its a 3/2 set up. master on one side and the other two bedrooms on the other separated by the bathroom, and a Garage. The house is 1900sqft. I have the front room as an office.

Umm well Im hoping the company I got it from will feel pitty for me plus I just bought a ings carbon fiber spoiler from them so Im hoping for an at cost sympathy price under $300... I paid $360 for it shipped.

Hey Charles... my oil psi has been off the meter like 120 psi at partial throttle even after 15 minutes of driving... is that normal? I never noticed it that high even WOT...

I would be concerned if your oil gauge was below 40 while driving. As far as the pressure being high I wouldnt get too concerned with it. The gauges on our dashs arent too accurate to begin with. Most Nissan speedo's are off by at least 2-3mph on the neg side of what your actually driving. (Meaning the speedo is indicating your going faster than you really are).

If your really concerned about it you can get a pressure gauge and hook it into where the OPS is in the oil pan.

At idle it should be at or above 14psi
At 2000RPM it should be at or above 43psi.

General rule of thumb I learned in school is for every 1000RPM of engine operation you need 10psi of oil pressure. Most manufacturers including nissan and BMW usually make sure theres at least 1.5 times the amount of oil pressure needed at idle and the ratio starts to increase as you accelerate.

Thanks man! You are such a wealth of knowledge! Yea Im thinking the sending unit might be going bad; this just started and now it is at 80 psi at idle and like 120+ at 3000rpm.. Oil is at normal level nothing has changed...

Rich I used 3m adhesive; ... next time if there is one I will use double sided tape and lots of it with no corners allowed to sit up at all.

Check your actual pressure before you just go and buy a OPS sensor, you always want to check all your bases before you pitch the ball ya know? Make sure its the OPS.
