an auto tranny cant hold that kind of power can it? if it can nissan must have some wicked transmissions lol i just want a MT my audi is a tiptronic and my daily driver

 

There's an approx 11% drivetrain loss with the AT, but on a TT Z(5AT) that is easily made up by not dropping boost between shifts or mis shifts etc. like on a 6MT. Not to mention TRACTION on a boosted 6MT is not the greatest. When I first went TT(3-4 years ago) a friend of mine had the same TT setup on his 6MT and his dynoed at 440 whp and mine dynoed at 390.

A couple shops have made upgraded auto trannies to hold 600+

Until recently,I ran my TT's on a stock motor(with a 35 shot) and had faster times in the 1/4 mile than alot of TT's with built motors,that had a h*** of alot more power, and they were 6MT's.

BTW the Z you're looking at in the pic, looks good. I am a little partial to PPW Z's

 

hmm good to know about the auto tranny hmmmm performance factory? I think ive heard of them, is that the place that is known for pushing alot of power through AT's here in orlando. I heard they were thinking of going in next to eurotecknik? thats where i get my audi mods done. I was looking at a Z at one of those waterford meets that I think got some stuff done there

Yeah, PF now mods the VB's in house instead of sending them out. Makes a big difference.

 

Fast cars are manual tranny, Quick cars are Auto....

 

PF is in Orlando...When you go turbo, consider yourself very lucky that PF is right there for you. People come from all over the country to have PF/JT work on their Z's and G's.

Madboost....finally someone understands the difference. I think thats the first time I've seen that comment on this site, ever, and you're IMO 100% right.

 

im not going 2 speak out and all b/c im 2 drunk to talk, but srsly the auto tranny makes better times per 1/4 mile even tho i love my 6MT
