Hey guys need I need some help!
Got myself a new exhaust for Christmas.. Fully bolt-on.. Never installed one by by myself before.. I have the tools to do it.. (All hand tools and jack.. =\ ) But I have never done it and I was wondering if anybody is really bored and wouldn't mind showing me/helping me do it? Also.. Car is 03 and 20k Miles on it.. Do I need new gaskets?

I would reccomend getting new gaskets. I got my Greddy exhuast used and tried reusing the gaskets and they fell apart and now I have silicone gaskets untill I can source out the real ones. lol. Celebrity Nissan has a good deal on the 3 - hole gaskets $20 for both. that go on the cat/tespipe (exhuast to manifold) I just bought some yesterday. They also have the 2 - hole for the other end of the cat/tespipe to the rest of the exhuast those were $40 for both.

they usually come with new gaskets unless it is a used setup.

It's not really hard to do, as the stock one comes off the after market one go's on the same way, check for torque spec for sure to avoid leeks... I used the stock gasket on mine, there better then the aftermarket one's anyways.. Good luck, do a search for past write ups...

Which discount did you get the gaskets from?? And how much? I've been trying to find them forever and could only get them at Nissan. We just tightened it up untill it was tight pretty much on mine

Hey guys, long time no see anyone... Hope you are all doing good and so far having a good new year.. Quick update.. For the OZOC crowd.. Heather gave birth to our second daughter on Dec 21... Caydee Elizabeth was two months premature. we pretty much spend our time at the hospital lately, but she is getting better and hopefully comming home soon. On another note, I need some help...I am looking for someone.. Does anyone know a member or non member who might have gone by the screen name of kdunfrey I believe he lives in Port saint Lucie. I am not sure what kind of z if he even has a car that he drives.

Thanks,

Default whats it worth post

well I am thinking of leaving the Z world.

Need something with more room and the convertible just aint gonna allow that. I also am in the mood for something completely different.

Anyways here are the specs

2007 Z convertible in white with rare grey top and light interiot, touring edition

6100 miles (yes you read that right) I got it with 1200 miles on the clock and have had it for 15 months now. All around town driving and two trips to SFL

In flawless condition except for a quarter inch long dent (and you can call it that) on the front bumper. I barely touched the dry wall that my hvac is mounted on and made a quarter inch long indent. No paint loss but **** me can tell its there

Have used synthetic oil and filters which have all been changed three times so far

Coats and coats of zaino and leather protectant

Upgrades

Injen Cold air intake purchased new, installed 12/07

Full (including windshield and kick panels) 3m clear bra installed by the best in the business

20 inch Axis Matrix wheels with FALKEN FK452 tires that still look brand new and never burned out on or abused. Always nitrogen filled. These were put on in place of the stockers when the car had 2200 on the clock

15% tinted windows

LED Z emblems that come on with lights.

Clear Corners

I am thinking around $28000 because of the pristine condition, low miles, baby treatment (garage always)

here is another view but I took off the red stripes

GL on the sale man. Whats the edmunds price on this.. not sure if your gonna get 28k the way things are especially with the new Z out now even with the low miles. I would sell the 20's and get your stock rims back on it unless a dealer is gonna give you extra cash for them.

*sigh* Took a run by the local dealership today... (longwood) Because my 03 keeps pulling to the left.. had the Alignment done by UTi instructors first and then to a local shop.. Still pulling to the left.. Took it to the Nissan stealership today and wasted 85$ for him to fit it and say its all good, got out on the road and turned right around.. Still pulling just like nothing was done. Says it is gonna be my Strutbar or maybe my hub.. Im thinking maybe a bent strut?? Front driver side.. Anyone else have this issue? Service Agent said it would be about 400$ for parts and labor to replace the strut... Any advice anybody??

++There was a guy there with a nice Nismo Z.. whoever that was.. very nice ;]
+The 370z's dont look to bad.. Alot nicer in person..

I know its a longshot, but how are your tires? are the wheels bent slightly maybe? Even if your alignment is good, if your tires are chopped badly enough they may pull.
