Vegas Autocross March 13th
Round #2 of the Las Vegas Region SCCA Solo II Autocross is scheduled for Sunday March 13th at Sam Boyd Stadium. Autocross is a really good time and I would like to see a stong attendance of 350Zs there. I am already pre-registered for the event and am currently the only 350Z pre-registered. Come on guys I want some competition. Here is some info on the event...
Entry fee is $30 for SCCA members, $40 for non members, and $20 for first timers.
You will not ruin your car. It is in a big empty parking lot and there is nothing to hit besides small cones that don't do damage to your car. Believe me, I have hit plenty of them.
You do need a helmet to race, but they have loaner helmets available.
If it is your first time, sign up for the novice class.
Please pre-register, it saves time in the morning so we can start earlier, plus you get a free lunch.
CAR CLASSIFICATION:
B Stock (BS): Any stock 350Z. Aftermarket front sway bars are allowed (front only), aftermarket shocks are allowed (not springs). These are only a couple of main things that are allowed and not allowed in B Stock. For a full set of rules go to http://www.scca.com/Solo/Index.asp?I...0&x=050|070&~= and click on 2005 Solo Rules.pdf
B Street Prepared (BSP): Any 350Z with aftermarket front and rear sway bars, aftermarket springs or coilovers, cold air intakes, plenums, exhaust, cats, etc... but no forced induction. Once again, these are just some things that are allowed, so for a full set of rules go to http://www.scca.com/Solo/Index.asp?I...0&x=050|070&~= and click on 2005 Solo Rules.pdf
Street Modified 2 (SM2): Any 350Z with forced induction or camber and toe altering suspension parts. For the last time this is just an example of the rules for this class so for the last time go to http://www.scca.com/Solo/Index.asp?I...0&x=050|070&~= and click on 2005 Solo Rules.pdf for a full list of rules and regulations.
If you have any questions post them here. Do not PM me because other people probably have the same question as you do so I want them to be publicly displayed. Hope to see you all there.

Just be careful with that becuase autocross is not allowed to have any spectators due to insurance reasons. Basically if the Las Vegas Region turned their events into a spectator sport, then they would have to pay a huge amount for their event insurance. I bring my girlfriend sometimes though and they have never said anything. I wouldn't be too worried about it, just giving you a heads up. I think you should register, if you have any questions on how the event is run, just ask me. Its pretty simple.
They have added a new twist to this event...should be fun. Click the link below to read the thread on SCCAForums.com.
