Arizona roll call
U d-served that.
Kev, id just do a simple kit on your car and call it a day man.
Maybe BP makes one for an HR? Dunno.. get w ruthless and buy whatever hes selling used, at least you know its keeping it in the family. Youre so close to so many good shops, id buy reputable used gear, have it rebuilt if necc, leave the stock block n set it up for 350 rwhp and twins.. keep it siiiimple.
W such low miles, why mess w a built motor when you dont have to?
Your car will be in the shop for 2 weeks tops man.
Id not have done this AT ALL if i hadnt blown a rod bearing.
Keep it simple man. 350-rwhp is PLEEEENTY for round one.
I have ZERO business driving a 500 hp car, let alone one that can maybe get 6-700. I mean itl be fun n all, but aside from e85 and drag racing it, when am i going to actually use it? I dnt go over 100, let alone, what, 160? Hell no. I did 149 stock..ONCE.
Its all fun n games, untill .....you die and kill you, ur passenger, and the passengers of the car behind you, ya know? Just gotta keep it in perspective.
I think Sparkles video is a glaring reminder how it aint always YOUR driving that gets you in a wreck etc.
Big power is pretty pointless to me. I just happen to situationally be buying into it, thats all.
So for Blvd cruising and runs from Tucson? Keep it stock block man, you have HR rods, youll be totally fine.
Besides, building a block later will still costs the same as it does now, youll just have a turbo to sell used later for a bigger one, and a fuel system to buy, and a better clutch.. thers no cost effectiveness to building at the same time if you dont need to make big power and lower the compression. Youre not saving yourself much by spending 17k now.
And dont buy small parts before you buy the big stuff, icant tell you how many things ive had to re sell throw away becuase i changed directions.. dont even START asking ruthless to speak to that.. Ive seen that guy change his mind on stuff like i change my socks... weekly.
haha. jk.

^ bp?
I THINK UR MIXING THINGS MY MAN..
BP is boosted Performance, mid mount turbo kits.. dont know what turbo they use even..
Precision Turbo is what you mean Im sure.
Ruthless.. yeah they still do the Powerlab, and yes are rebuilding some things with my car and revamping some subtle tweaks on the kit.. im told the wastegate position will change slightly.
Im unsure what turbo Ill end up with just yet, but its the billet Ball bearing version either a 6265 or 6266 etc.. dunno yet.
Id stay tuned n see what i end up pushing for sure. Im still rocking the JWT clutch for now, so Im not going rediculous w it. STreet map pump gas numbers in conversation at this time are about 500whp. We will see how that holds up before i go trying to drag race the thing. I have no biz doing all that just yet.
That and my car does only 0-60mph.. wait.. 0-0 mph in eight months.
haha, ill talk of numbers when they are on a dyno page in front of me

dunno man.. thats what they had been using.. but the precision set up is pretty killer im told.. its not liquid cooled anymore, but the billet wheel is super light and tight in there.. i guess for a larger turbo it wont spool up any faster in terms of rpm, kick in boost maybe 2-300 rpm lower, but its transient response for up n down actual driving will be far better. Thats from Pete at Precision.
DUnno, cool part is that my car will be in half when it all happens, so they can experiment w different turbos in the car.
