Default Tire Shops in Denver

Looking for recommendations for tire shops in Denver--I'm looking at the Bridgestone KDW2's for replacement on stock 18's. I can always try Discount Tire or Big O, but didn't know if there were some other local shops that may be competitive.

Also, a headscratcher--Sam's can special order the rears--245/45/18, but they don't have the ability to order the fronts--though they are in the brochure--what's that about?

Also, does anyone have any experience with Dunlop Direzzas? Seems like a decent looking tread pattern and reasonable prices.

Thanks for any input,
David

I ordered mine from DTD and than went to my local Discount Tire and had them mount them. That way I didn't have to pay for taxes on the tires. I also go all four tires to fit in the Z to take them there. Here is some more info: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/158456-ordered-bfg-kdw-nt.html

thanks for the tip--discount tire quoted 181 for the front, and 179 (yes, cheaper) for the rear. i think it was $11 each for mounting and the lifetime road hazard, etc. so, that's around $800 total with tax and all the fees.

as an aside, i went to two local shops, and neither seemed to be interested in even helping me--no offers to order the tires or even suggestion of same--just a "nope, we don't have 'em...."

Here's a tip for ya.. Check the prices online at discount tire and then go to your local discount tire and ask what their prices are on the same tire. WHEN it's more expensive ask them to price match. It's the same company right.. Then you don't have to pay shipping and you get the lifetime road hazard for free too.

Sometimes you make out like a bandit when the website has a special, sometimes you just save a $10-20. But hey that's some beer money right there..

another good tip, but their in-store prices were cheaper for the rear and the same for the fronts.

Still check... DTD offers free shipping most of the time. Just need to check total from the store (w/ taxes & mounting) & from DTD (w/ mounting from the store).
