If only it were that easy to keep up with David at the track, I would have done it long ago. It reminds me of the time I tried to bribe his mechanic to weld an extra 50 lbs of lead onto his shiny new Tilton flywheel before installing it to slow him down a bit and give the rest of us a chance!!!

JK - I think you'll like that exhaust (did you win the lottery or something)? It sounds great on bottom's car, and seems to be a solid performer throughout the power band.

Don't jinx me! I've had good luck with them. I just hate how slow ground shipments are and wish they deleived on Saturdays.

Yeah he's fast! Funny how each mod for a car benefits somewhere. I remember at La Junta having the power to catch up to him on the straight, just to watch him pull away cause I had to slow down for the turn. That was the main reasoning behind the Hotchkis kit & EBC Race Pads.

I think I'll enjoy the exhaust as well. Seems to be the best one for my needs & likes. Honestly I nervous cause I'm so happy with how the exhaust sound now with just the APS pipes. I hope it doesn't sound too bad after the install.

Hey now, dont ruin my plans. I was thinking Allen and i would get together and attach his car to a boulder. I figure that should slow him down enough. If that doesnt work, ill figure out how to shoe horn a baby elephant inside his car. Either way we need to slow that man down!

Sweet, I've had that exhaust on my car for a few years now and still love it. I did have some issues when I first installed it, but it's great now. You'll love the sound every time you start it up and at WOT. Also it's shiny.

I'll have to post some picts after winter of my exhaust to show everyone what the magnesium chloride does to stainless steel.

Robert: I'm curious to hear how it sounds with test pipes. Headers in the future?

Good to hear you are happy with it. I'll be at MAC most likely Wednesday next week to dyno/tune with it. If you can't make MAC, I'll be at PMI on the 9th. You can check it out than.
What issues did you have? Any hints for an easier install? Please post those pics. Headers no, Turbo manifolds yes!

Dont strip any bolts and make sure everything is tight after you drive 500 miles with it on.

I actually bought my exhaust used. It only had a few hundred miles on it, but the tubes were still deformed from the from clamps from the first install. This made the exhaust somewhat of a pain to fit each tube section together. I was able to get a good fit at first and everything fit well as it should be, no leaks.

My first time out at the La Junta track, because of the extra heat, the exhaust expanded so much that the last section (muffler) fell out of the rubber hangers. I just had to keep adjusting it though out the day.

The Stillen exhaust hanger is straight and there's really nothing that will keep it from staying on if it expands like this. My system was probably an extreme because it didn't fit well. A new system should be okay.

I ended up fitting the exhaust a little better and drilling holes in the exhaust hanger posts so I can put a cotter pin through. Since then, no issues on the road or at the track.

Hindsight, I should have taken it to a muffler shop to get the outer tube parts expanded so that it would have fit better. I also installed the exhaust myself with the car on jack stands with no instructions. Which sucked and took a little bit more time, but no big deal.

Hints: Start at the front work your way back. Make sure that the pipes go in as far as possible before you tighten the clamps. Don't fully tighten the clamps before everything is on. Don't forget to put the Stillen stickers on because that's where the Horse power come from.

Good luck with the install, you should be fine with a new system.

Congrats! Probably don't need a retune, but it can't hurt.

Didn't make it up to MAC today, traffic was too bad from the snow, so I still don't know what my shiny new clutch is like! Tomorrow, though.

I'll be headed to MAC on Wednesday (Feb-7) to see how much power I gain from the Stillen True Dual! Should be there around 4:00, Dyno Time 4:30p. Swing by if you are free!
