I am getting the exact same car, except it's an 05 instead of an 04, with only 9,000 miles, and 2 years left on the warranty. Mine had 49,000 miles and no warranty.

Also someone tried to cut into my car earlier this year(the seal around the window), the window motors were starting to act up. I also developed that sound with the rear bearings I believe that makes it sound like you have some change in a jar rolling around in the back. I had those replaced at 8,000 miles under warranty but it was starting to do it again.

Also I had a strange vibration in the transmission in 4th gear(you felt it when you pulled the stick all the way against the gate). This one is smooth in all gears.

If they total the vehicle they will give me Kelly Blue Book Dealer Retail for my vehicle which basically gives me all those upgrades for free!

Hey, I am glad you are ok. A car it just material. What are you going to do with the seats?

 

The seats are trashed from the airbags deploying. However, the insurance company will keep the car if they total it for parts I assume. Although since it took a hit on both sides I don't think they can use any of the parts for repairing another Z, but they will probably try to get something for it from salvage.

 

Ya, if they let you take some of the parts, ive got frost and am trying to find some parts, namely, the passanger cover with the power outlet, the knee pads, things like that, your the first person with frost insides. SOrry to hear how bad it went, im so glad that no one was hurt. Glad to see this doesnt kill your faith and your back in the Z world soon! Sorry man!
