*sigh* trying to figure out how the hell I'm going to pass emissions with no cats without having to re-install cats. It's due by the 19th

I'm using test pipes too...I have the stock cats if you need to borrow them. A family member owns an emissions spot so i'm lucky. =]

 

^ Nice man. I was doing the anti fouler plug method this morning and after a few hours of drilling I finally made it through the first "fouler" but the o2 sensor still won't fit through it! I have Berk Test Pipes and they have their little "anti fouler" thing installed on there too so I ended up just stuffing it full of brillo pad and re-connecting the o2 sensor. Reset the ECU and drove for like 5 miles. I got a friend I work with on base that owns an emissions place too. Gonna go talk to him tomorrow and see what we can do about passing my car haha. As long as the light won't turn on within the first 50 miles I think I'll be fine.

 

Just passed Emissions this morning! Used the brillo pad stuffed into the test pipe method and when I got to the place it had 7.2 miles on the odo No CEL and it didn't require a drive cycle.

 

Anyone going to the Nissan meet at Melloy Nissan next sat?? I may show up. My PPW is Brown right now though

I guess it's their 40th annual Z thing. Suppose to be a bbq and I'm not sure what else. Would be nice if they did a raffle and maybe raffled off like oh i dunno.... Project Mu Brakes or some Volks

 

i have passed emissions twice already with no cats.. i just have the sensors plugged in normal no codes either.. and my car is so low they dont do a visual inspection.. this nissan meet sounds interesting.. i might go.. but i hate melloy with a passion they are a pretty dishonest business.. but then again what car dealer isnt..

Well from what I've found the 07-08 ECU's are really sensitive and will throw codes regardless of what you try to do. So it takes quite a bit just to retard it for just enough time to get your emissions done.

I havn't had problems with Melloy but I never go there for anything but picking up some small parts here and there from their parts department. I'm dreading pulling up into the place cause I scrape everytime

I'm gonna detail my car Friday morning Andrew. I have a friend who wants to go with me, we can meet up before and cruise there together. Wonder if parking will be a *****?

 

What time is this going on Saturday? I just remembered I have driving school till 3pm this Saturday. I will probably be down for a cruise later in the day.
