Earnhardt NIssan, Mesa, AZ grrrr
These bastards cut my car and won't fess up or own up...
Here's the story:
We bought this car from there and...
We took the car in for an oil change as we want to keep the service records at the dealership.
We also had the mirror looked at as it is rattling again
When we get it back and nothing is said or eventful about it.
I get the car home and proceed to wash it. What do I find? A friggin CUT in the lower body cladding below the driver's door.
I wash the car weekly, the cut is at a location that you would have to TRY to get it with your shoe (with razor blade soles) it is so far back. And the car is driven from our garage, to my wife's work where she parks in an underground garage with assigned spots and no one else that parks on either side of her.
This was NOT there before it went in, period!
Additionally, on the undercarriage, right below where the cut is, the undercoating on both sides is scraped away from where they bounced it on the ramps for the lift somehow. It is perfectly symmetrical on BOTH sides of the car. And there are items that hang lower than this area that would be obliterated if it had been road damage (as they tried to claim all of the damage was).
They have offered to sell me the piece for $200 and have it painted IF I take the piece over to one of their body shops. What a crock!! that is a $250 oil change, man... $30 for oil (synthetic), about $20 for the labor, and $200 for te parts the f'd up!!!
So, tell me, do I just call my insurance company and make a claim and have them go after the dealer?
The person I was talking to was the Service Department Manager (I have his name written down).

Sorry to hear of your trouble with 'No Bull". That's where I take my Z for service too. I always watch them put it on the lift, watch them drain the oil, put new oil in, and take it off the lift. They probably think I think they're incompetent, but I've found minor problems with the quality (attention to detail) of their work before.
I don't have any advice about resolving your dillema. I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle. Can you even see the cut? I scratched up the underside of the front bumper, was really bummed, but I can't even see it so out of sight out of mind.
Good luck with whatever path you choose.

You tell me... Can you see it? Not meaning to sound at all snide... just still ticked beyond belief.
